Rescue
8 is an active participant in the community other than just
providing Emergency Medical Services. We welcome any and all
visits from groups or organization interested in learning more
about EMS and Rescue 8. Can't come to us, we'll come to you,
Rescue 8 during the course of the year visits many day cares
and schools with our It Doesn't Always Hurt Program, which gives
children an opportunity to try out some of our medical equipment
that we use on patients in hopes of taking some of the fear
away children may have of medical providers.
Need a Public Speaker?
Have a Rescue 8 representative speak at one your next civic
group or organization meetings. We've had the privilege of visiting
such esteemed groups as the AARP, Lions and Kiwanis, and the
Norwin Rotary. We'll talk about any topic in which your group
may be interested, from Third Party Billing, Terrorism and Weapons
of Mass Destruction, clear on up to the History of Rescue 8.
Cub Scouts and Girl Scouting
Rescue 8 helps out our local scouting organizations prepare
for their medical badges or other public safety related topics.
We will provide whatever assistance necessary and design programs
to fit any age group to help our local scouts satisfy their
scouting requirements.
SADD Accident Drill and Grim Reaper Day at Norwin School.
Each year Rescue 8 assists our local SADD Organizations and
other public safety agencies teach high school students about
the hazards or drinking and driving. Students are exposed to
the harsh realities of alcohol related accidents in life like
re-creations of vehicular accidents.
