Along with our annual subscription drive Rescue 8 depends heavily on third party billing to generate income, Rescue 8 is classified as a Federal Non-Profit 501 (C) 4 Organization and is NOT taxpayer funded.

Funds generated from the annual subscription drive and third party billing are used to purchase medical equipment, ambulances, maintain payroll, and provide in house training of EMT's and Paramedics as well as develop programs outside of Rescue 8 that are for the general public such as CPR and First Aid.

At the time of service or at the completion of any call our staff members will request medical insurance information from the patient and ask for a signature from the patient to allow us to bill for our services. Without the ability to perform third party billing it would be difficult for any ambulance service to support itself with other means financially.
