Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

• Certified as an Emergency Medical Technician in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• EVOC certified.
• Minimum 19 years of age.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Valid drivers license.
• Able to lift heavy objects/stretcher.
• Work well with others.
• Able to work in highly stressful situations/environments.
• Be of good moral character and be free from mental and physical handicap that may impair the person's ability to drive an ambulance.

Paramedic

• Certified as an Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum 19 years of age.
• Eligible for medical command authorization in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• EVOC certified.
• Valid drivers license.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Current in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, BTLS or PHTLS and PALS.
• Obtain Medical Command with the Pittsburgh Mercy Health System, with full command status in six months after hire date.
• Able to lift heavy objects/stretcher.
• Work well with others.
• Able to work in highly stressful situations/environments.
• Be of good moral character and be free from mental and physical handicap that may impair the person's ability to drive an ambulance.
